Projects progress despite economic problems

Martin and Mary Print are just back from a short visit to Kenya. Here is a brief update on the projects for your interest and prayer:

Sunshine Home: we have taken in eight new boys from the streets, bringing the total to eighty. The boys are doing well, and the dedication of the staff never ceases to amaze us.

Naivasha Polytechnic: recruitment has been adversely affected by the downturn in the economy – parents having to choose between educating or feeding their children.

Tumaini Children’s Home: the 26 children are all doing well, and continuing to grow fast. Vivian and Jael have now completed their secondary school education. We have encouraged them to find some work before deciding on further education.

Church on the Rock School, Kware slum: The school has suffered a major setback with the withdrawal of another donor. This means they have had to cut back on school meals, and the teachers are in danger of not being paid.
